When Colleen and Johnny first came in to choose their locations for their engagement sitting, they had the unique idea to shoot their photos at their home by The Toronto Beaches. She originally found this idea online, but it was really important to her that we captured the character of their relationship. So what could be better than taking pictures of Colleen in her beautifully designed kitchen; cooking some of Johnny’s favourite Italian dishes. This truly was a chance to witness their love for one another. We then continued their engagement shoot by capturing moments of Colleen and Johnny along King Street West. Prior to sitting down and enjoying an amazing dinner at Cibo Wine Bar, we finished off their shoot inside the restaurant, giving us the opportunity to capture beautiful pictures in a rustic restaurant setting.
Later that year, Colleen and Johnny tied the knot. Their entire day was sprinkled with more personal touches by the bride and groom. In the morning, the girls got together at the salon to get ready for the big day. Dress shirts and UGG boots were mandatory. Following all the fun at the salon, the party headed to Corpus Christi Church for the ceremony. Colleen looked especially stunning walking down the aisle in her dress by Romona Keveza. After the ceremony, there was an abundance of locations for photo shoots and each one was unique in its own way including Queen Margherita Pizza in Leslieville, Colette Grand Cafe on Wellington West and the Thompson Hotel. Our favourite stop was at a Toronto fire station. We were lucky enough to use one of the bright red fire trucks as a prop and you could really tell Colleen and Johnny were enjoying the moment.
The night was capped off at the beautifully decorated Palais Royale. Colleen and Johnny spent hours working on their choreographed first dance and they definitely did not disappoint when they hit the dance floor. We’re still waiting for them to give us a few tips on our dance moves. The Everlasting Moments team had a great time capturing Colleen and Johnny’s journey.
